Veteran’s Armor always seems to find its way onto the body of the most confident, battle-scarred and gruff soldier. Perhaps because it is so valued by warriors, only the most Veteran of them all gain such a prize, but at what price?

Skin is our barrier against the elements. It is the first line of defense we have against invaders of all shapes and sizes. Battle-torn at birth, shed day-by-day, we go through layers of this dusty substance unraveling across our bodies as a skein of life, if you will. It is with that goal in mind that we use the Skin, the Hide, of hardier creatures than ourselves. Heavier plate or chainmail may block the bite of a blade or the sting of an arrow better, but it hinders as much as it helps when navigating the wilds. Hide armor provides an aura of defense against the chill of the Icy North, the scorching sands of the Anauroch desert and the salty spray of the Sword Coast. Carry the blood of your ancestor-kin proudly about your shoulders, my son, and you shall glory in the blood of many triumphant battles.
